    Hi, Sally

I’m a preschool teacher (ages 2 1/2 to 5) in Seattle and love your program. I can’t wait to try out all of your activities. The videos are especially helpful!

I just wanted to share the American version of Little Rabbit Foo Foo. We act out this story, with little bunnies hopping around and a fairy godmother (usually me) waving a “wand.”

    Little Bunny Foo Foo,
    Hopping through the forest
    Scooping up the field mice
And boppin’ ’em on the head
THE CHILDREN HOP ABOUT WITH EARS UP. THEY SCOOP UP THE BUNNIES AND BOP THEIR FIST ON TOP OF THE OTHER.

    Along came the good fairy,
    And she said…
    “Little Bunny Foo Foo,
I don’t want to see you
    Scooping up the field mice
And boppin’ ’em on the head.
I’ll give you more three chances,
    And if you don’t behave
I’ll turn you into a goon!”
THE FAIRY COMES ALONG AND SCOLDS WITH HER WAND, SCOOPING AND BOPPING.

    The next day…
THEY REPEAT THIS THREE TIMES AND ON THE LAST ONE, THE FAIRY SCOLDS…

    I gave you three chances
    And you didn’t behave.
Now you’re a goon! Acbraca dabra kazam!
SHE WAVES HER WAND AND THE CHILDREN TURN INTO GOONS.

The moral of the story is…
    THE TEACHER BEGINS…

    Hare today, goon tomorrow!
    AND THE CHILDREN RESPOND.
