Hi! I taught in the regular classroom (ages 5-10) for ten years before becoming a music teacher. This is my fourth year in this position. I teach 20 classes a week (4 grade levels).. I have no music training (other than piano and band in elementary school and show choir in high school) so I am always looking for ways to learn. Our school does not have a current curriculum, so I just teach using standards. When they moved me to this job, I was teaching reading through music, but I am now teaching music concepts.
